Iconography within sci fi is most present in superhuman films, in which a character or organisation would have a symbol or logo for them to be instantly recognised by, which will eventually be on most of their merchandise when it comes for the audience to buy t-shirts and such. This is due to how within superhuman and sci fi films the characters and groups that use iconography are people who need to have an image, for example, Starlord from The Guardians of the Galaxy doesn't have an iconic logo, while other superheroes like Batman and Superman do due to their famous nature in their franchises and films.

Other iconography is what someone would expect from a standard film, such as distinct logo's and fonts being used for that film, for example the Star Wars logo that would be familiar to the eye even if it didn't spell out Star Wars
