Potential Distributor for our Film

For an independent company I think Studiocanal would be a good choice because they distribute a wide range of films ranging from Sci-Fi's to gritty dramas. Studiocanal is a French film production and distribution company that owns the third-largest film library in the world which is another reason as they've not only distributed hit films but they've also helped produce such hits as Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004), JFK (1991), Paddington (2014) and The Imitation Game (2014).

For a Mainstream film company I think Universal would be a good choice as they are one of the Big Six, Universal is a subsidiary of Comcast which has multiple other subsidiaries like; DreamWorks Animation, Working Title Films and Illumination Pictures. Since being founded in 1912 Universal has also distributed a large range of films which a lot becoming cult classics with a large following, for instance; The Back to the Future Trilogy (1985- 1990), The Fast and Furious franchise (2001 - Present), American Pie franchise (1999 - 2012) and The Jurassic Park franchise (1993 - Present).

Overall Universal would be the main choice as when compared to Studiocanal, they have a lot more money to invest in the films distribution and marketing, they've distributed a large amount of similar films but mainly because they're one of the Big Six which would have more of an impact and appeal to a wider audience.
