Our film focuses on the Superhuman Abilities and Superhuman Sub-genre of Sci-Fi. The opening of a Superhuman Sci-Fi film usually features someone born with Superhuman abilities (we see the journey of their life living with these powers in the form of a pre-titles sequence or a flash back) or someone who's been caught up in some form of experimental test (the beginning of the film usually chronicles the events leading up to the experiments or incident) the experiment unknowingly fails resulting in the person acquiring Superhuman abilities, over the course of the film we see them coming to terms with their new found Superhuman abilities usually getting themselves into scrapes and situations that push them outside of their comfort zones but as the film progresses we see them coming to grips with their abilities and usually end up using their powers for the greater good, to protect innocent members of the general public from some form of threat (governmental threat, failed experiment, an invasion or an evil master mind intent on destroying the world). Superhuman films almost always feature a plot that follows what's been mentioned above, for instance films like The Incredible Hulk (2008) and Spider Man (2002) which both follow two people who've been chemically enhanced, gaining Superhuman abilities and using them for the greater good of the general public by helping to protect them and keep them safe from any forms of harm.

Typical Plotlines and Story Devices commonly featured in Sci-Fi films
Since 1902, hundreds of Sci-Fi films have been produced and released in cinemas with many becoming cult classic among large fandoms such as; The Star Wars Saga, The Back to the Future Trilogy and Star Trek: The Motion Picture Series. Most Sci-Fi films feature very similar plotlines and elements, for instance; Space Battles, Robots, Time Travel, Alien Invasions, Body Modifications, Superhuman Abilities and Post-Apocalyptic Worlds.
