Superhuman Sci Fi - Characters

Many Superhuman and Sci - Fi films follow intelligent scientist characters as they do an experiment or create a new devise to discover something new, with it going wrong, causing them to either gain their powers, or build them. This idea of a scientist character can be seen in our own movie, as the main character gains their powers after being tampered with from the 'mad scientist' character, who gives him a new form of drug, gifting him with his powers. He turns out to be the main antagonist of the movie, as he only cares about the science he performs, no matter who he hurts.
Another common character type seen is that of the hero's friend or helper, who hasn't got powers, but instead helps the hero in their task or mission, by delivering them important information, or tactical support. They are often seen as the stereotypical 'nerd' character as they are often good at using computers, giving the hero information throughout their mission. This is seen in our movie through the character of 'Danni' who helps the hero at the beginning of the film after find him damaged, taking him in to her home to rest.
An example of this character type is 'Weasel'  from Deadpool, who helps the main character to get their plan together, as well as being a friend to him as he recovers from a battle.
